The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is a diploma granted to secondary school graduates in Ontario, Canada. It is awarded to all students who have completed the Ontario education program, including students in special education, students in the TOPS Program, MaCS Program, IB Program and all secondary school programs offered in Ontario.

Arktown course selections are based on graduation requirements and student interests. The OSSD program focuses on allowing students to develop a variety of skills. This includes a large focus on academics and learning skills such as communication, collaboration, and leadership. Students will practice these skills and learn how to work in teams with people with different perspectives. With a variety of compulsory and elective courses, graduated students are well prepared for their university pathways.

At registration, each student at Arktown Secondary School is assigned an Ontario Education Number (OEN) by the Ontario Ministry of Education. The number, which is unique to every student, will be used as the key identifier on a student’s school records, and will follow the student through his or her elementary and secondary education.

Academic Success is Key

We focus on academic success. The OSSD program establishes academic foundations and brings students to their highest potential.
